Today we celebrate chopsticks: over a quarter of the world’s population primarily use them for eating – so give it a try! After all, today is the perfect day to master the art of eating with chopsticks since it’s National Chopsticks Day!
We are celebrating with our Asian Noodle Linguini – the perfect pasta to pair with chopsticks. In fact, we are delivering our yummy “Asian Chicken Noodle Soup” recipe straight to your inbox today – scroll down to learn how to make this great dish!
Asian Noodle Linguini
Light, delicate ... delicious! Garlic, ginger, onion and soy over our usual soft wheat flour base. Makes for a distinctively Asian taste – not spicy, but flavorful. Perfect for chicken and beef or cold noodle salads!
Exploring Chopsticks: Fun Facts!
- In old Chinese, the word for chopstick means “quick little bamboo fellow.”
- It’s tradition to hold chopsticks in your right hand, even by left-handed people. This practice prevents a left-handed chopstick user from accidentally elbowing a right-handed user.
- It is impolite to impale a piece of food with a chopstick.
- Don’t point your rested chopsticks toward someone else seated at your table – it is a breach of chopstick etiquette!
